I know this needs a lot more work- I wanna get more educational aspects in here 100%! So it isn't done yet- but I think I need some feedback :) But I wanted to also get the story down too in order to make the banter work with my Narrator and fish.
Hey Ren - so, I want you to think about something: this script implies loads and loads of lip-synching and character animation - it's got lots of potential already... but all my experience tells me that this is HUGE - unless you have a plan already in terms of achieving it all. The whole idea of the narrator and the interaction between the fish is great - but do you need the eel sidekick, for example? I'd be looking to get this story told with just your one fish character, because there is so much to do here in terms of implied animation and so on... can you give me a sense of what thought you've given to actually getting this made? Ensuring that your script is 'make-able' is so important at this first stage, so can I suggest you look for all/every opportunities to shrink your script to focus on all the key info elements, while keeping the charm of the relationship between the fish and the human narrator? Trust me on this - slim it down to its essentials :)
I agree it implies a lot of lip syncing- I have been thinking about it but I wanted to focus on getting some sturdy ideas down- I did like the idea of a 'pet' but it's easily removable in terms of time :) I'm definitely planning to shrink it down a bit- just wanted to have a play around and make sure you think it's got potential :) Thank you
