Toolkit 2 for me got outweighed by the Premise project, as I personally felt more drawn to doing my own work, which was already quite difficult for me- so more time had to go into it, and I wanted to merge the two projects where possible. I struggled a lot with time management in this project from day one, seeing the daunting amount of videos needing to be done from the beginning of the year. And my biggest issue- was Jet Pack Jones.

I really enjoyed the idea of Mudbox and wanted to learn it properly. But since I have a Mac and the current circumstances? Mudbox did not run well on my laptop at all. It crashed every 10 minutes at the bare minimum. Not only this, my Wacom tablet is at my Uni accommodation, as when I left- I didn't know I'd be needing it, I do all my digital work on my iPad these days (the tablet itself is bigger than my Mac). So this really wasn't ideal- but I pushed on and I would really like a real lesson on it. The tutorials were not as good as I think a real lesson could be, alongside my crashing, lagging, program, it was just not a good experience and I'm upset that I don't think I've been able to take away as much skill as I want from this; as Mudbox is a program I really want to learn. It looks fun and helpful for sculpting.

Jet Pack Jones was my downfall. This was the most difficult of the tasks. With around 36 hours of tutorials being there from the beginning, it felt heavy and it looked heavier. I really want to learn how to rig, and I'm really glad I managed to get to the point of starting rigging. That, to me, is the most fun part. But I really struggled with all of it, every hour of the video I watched took me 2/3 hours at least- which was really hard. It's a difficult thing to learn so much important information while trying to copy/follow a video. I would like to attempt another model in the summer while loosely following these tutorials as I think maybe that would be more beneficial for me. Along with these issues, time management was bad on my part- I did however do better than I thought I would from the start. But maybe I would have been better with a stricter plan in place, but putting aside 3 hours sometimes was just never enough for one video. Of course, the Maya on my laptop didn't exactly make matters much easier.

The other tutorials, I can't say I fully understood or took a lot away from them. So I think applying them to my own ideas/work will definitely help me out in the future- so that's what I'll do.

So it's fair to say I haven't enjoyed all of Toolkit 2, but I've 100% learned a lesson on time management that hopefully, I will start to apply better from here on.
