After talking with Justin today, I've started drafting story ideas a little more clearly- he was extremely positive and helpful as I explained this messy story to him. So the story in basic form shown below is the starting point for me- a more clear 'first draft' if you like. We agreed that it would be best to really focus on getting the emotions right, getting some high notes early on to enable the sad parts to really be felt. It would be the story of a bond between pets, how they affect each other. Not only is this emotional for me personally, but something a lot of people will be able to relate to. It resembles a sibling-like bond and captures what it's like to lose a pet. My plan moving forward will be to keep diving into this story/storyboarding and adapting it to be better each time.
