So following up yesterdays Premise Experiments with the quadruped rigs, I downloaded another that I thought would be nice to animate controls wise, and it definitely was. He's also a familiar character (Balto), so it was more fun to add a bit of character into his movement- which I will continue to develop. I had a lot of fun animating this walk cycle, with glitches along the way I also managed to get my head (somewhat) around the graph editor with a bit more understanding as well as teaching myself how to animate a quadruped. The practice and different rigs is definitely working well in terms of teaching myself this new skill; and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. After getting the bulk of the basic movement down, it was really fun to tweak and put in little bits, like his jaw opening a tiny bit, the blink and the ears and tail. I used this youtube video to loosely reference the poses, as well as my previously drawn gif.
