Reflective Statement:

I feel this project went okay overall. I am really happy with what I produced, even though I think it could be better. I think I need to develop my drawing skills and character design further, but I have learned a lot from this project in terms of designing and creating an entire world, things don't just 'appear' they are imagined and developed. As for my story, this I'm really proud of. I think it could've had more elements with more time, but for what it is and for my first original story and the time given with what I've learned so far- I am happy with it. I also think the Pre-Viz turned out really cool and I would've never been able to do it before, but I would've liked some more interesting camera angles and more focus on Maya. The animatic was a nightmare and I didn't like it much, my drawing skills feel a bit inadequate but I feel I was still able to get my story across, which to me- was the main thing. I like my story a lot and to be able to portray it as I did makes me feel satisfied that I've learned a lot from this project. Taking 3 random prompts and turning them into a coherent story isn't always easy- but this was enjoyable. I wish I could’ve played around with my timing more and hiding things from the audience to have a bigger impact of shock on a viewer. Despite this, I am still satisfied with what I managed to produce, I feel myself getting more confident in my work and I hope to get better next time. I enjoy role reversal and I can't wait to hop back into Maya again. Things in this project could have definitely been better, but I am proud of what I have made and the story I wrote and transferred from a script to the screen.  Overall this project has been a fair success for me in terms of learning, and I want to push even further.
