Starting with design principles that helped me design more fluidly in WIM and using principles from Character Design lessons- I've been playing with shapes when looking at my second pest- Buzz the wasp (a zookeeper). I wanted to look at different facial shapes he could have, and what felt the most effective in portraying a wasp that has a few dull triangles in his body. I'm playing with his designs at the moment- I'm liking the bottom right body shot of him and going to take it further, and am debating whether he really needs wings or not because in the society he's in he wouldn't actually need them, but I'm going to see how this goes. I'm trying to step away from realism and into cartoon-esc, but I can't really figure it out, I want some stuff to be obvious, like a stinger, antenna, 6 limbs and a pointy face.
