For the contexts project, we have to choose a topic and write a 2000 word essay looking into our chosen topic. Below I have some physical mindmaps looking at 3 topics I'm considering at the moment, although I am unsure of where they may end up. I'm also not very keen on the Disney Remakes topic because I couldn't find much strong evidence to back up my views on the subject, and I think the essay overall could end up being quite biased and weak. I also thought about doing an essay on how Shane Dawson's content is so stylised now compared to what it used to be- but this is youtube and I didn't think it would be the best argument... although I would be more than happy to revisit this idea.

Fight Club and the 'crisis of the masculine' looks both complex and focused - which is the combination you're after - a clear line of enquiry, with lots to think about and lots to explore... this will inevitably lead you towards debates around 'the male gaze' (as it relates to men looking at men and the tension it creates - homoeroticism) - but also towards violence as spectacle etc. This topic looks fruitful and useful to me!
