Following on from last week, we had to use our bouncy ball animations to create little bouncing characters! This meant using layers on top of the previously animated layers to follow through another aspect of overlapping action.
I started simple, with a little hat on my ball.

Then.. I gave my ball a little tail, following where the arcs would be each time I drew it. Then added a few more frames to the ball at the end, so when I add more features he can have a little personality.

And then... I gave my ball some little eyes so he could blink.

And then I realised I could use the technique from when I added the eyes, making the drawing a symbol and following it through with onion skin layers- this took some trial and error to make the movement look right... But eventually my ball got a muzzle!

I forgot to add the ground in, so he could actually land somewhere...

And boom! My little bouncing dog ball animation!
